Fill and scrape

Linebacker run fits

The two core linebacker fits: the 'fill' backer attacks the first open gap downhill, while the 'scrape' backer flows over the top to the cutback lane. One plays the front side, one plays the back side.

When it applies

Inside zone and power — the MIKE usually fills, the WILL scrapes.
