Air Raid
Spread it out, tempo, spacing.
Shotgun spread concepts living on inside other systems. Quick processors, vertical speed. Spacing, tempo, and simple reads — the quarterback gets the ball out fast to playmakers in space.
When it applies
With an accurate, quick-decision QB and speed outside; when you want to dictate tempo.
+ StrengthsSimple for the QB; stresses every defender horizontally and vertically; tempo wears defenses down.
− Trade-offsStruggles in short yardage and bad weather; needs the QB to stay healthy taking hits.
